DurhamGate, County Durham’s leading regeneration scheme, is sponsoring Lanchester Cricket Club’s Beer Festival to support the future of the club’s seven teams and the redevelopment of its ground.
Taking place between 23-25 May, the three day festival will feature an array of real ales, ciders, wines and performances from a variety of musical acts.
The funds raised from the festival will enable the team to continue to benefit from qualified coaching and allow the club to upgrade its facilities and infrastructure.
Tickets to the event are still available and can be purchased at www.lanchesterbeerfestival.eventbrite.co.uk or by contacting the events team on 01207 520198
Created through a partnership between Carillion Developments, part of Carillion plc, and regional property business, Arlington Real Estate, DurhamGate is quickly establishing itself as a popular place to live and work. It is now home to businesses employing a combined workforce of more than 1,000 and has already sold more than 60 percent of the new homes built.
Helen Attley, Concierge Manager at DurhamGate, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to support such an important local community resource. The cricket club is a great source of entertainment and is an active member of the community.
“The festival will be filled with great entertainment and I would urge those that haven’t already booked a ticket to do so before they sell out.”
Jonathan Hames, member of Lanchester Cricket Club, said: “We are extremely grateful to DurhamGate for sponsoring the beer festival. The money raised to upgrade our facilities and maintain our high standard of coaching will benefit everyone at the club.
“It is especially pleasing to know that the younger generations will be developed to a high standard.
“As well as being a significant boost to the club it will be a fantastic event and I’m sure everyone who attends will thoroughly enjoy themselves.”
